The Wow Factor

The Wow Factor

High style and spacious comfort

Walk through the front door of the Huntington Homes show home at 661 Bridge Lake Drive in Bridgwater Trails and the first word that comes to mind is, “Wow.”

That’s not so much about the view straight ahead, although it’s a pretty impressive scene, with rift oak hardwood floors leading past a glass-enclosed staircase to a double-sided ribbon fireplace and on to the open kitchen and great room.

While the luxury bungalow is all about high style and spacious comfort from top to bottom, it’s the unexpected features that pop.

The first is the full bath and den / bedroom tucked into a roomy alcove at the front of the house. The large-format Bianco Calacatta polished porcelain floor and wall tiles in the foyer carry over to the bathroom floor and up the wall. Those elegant, marble-look tiles repeat on the fireplace, which extends from floor to ceiling on the main level. And they reappear on the kitchen backsplash and butler’s pantry, on the lower level wet bar, and in the master en suite.

Accessed through another alcove off the great room, the master bedroom delivers more of the wow-factor, with a custom walk-in closet and massive bathroom. Dual back-to-back sinks are separated by a glass partition and mirror, with acres of that porcelain tile on the floor and extending to the top of two walls in the otherwise glass-enclosed shower. Truly spa-inspired, the shower has both rain and hand-held shower heads, along with a mahogany slat floor and a bench, which is coated, naturally, in the porcelain tile.

The vanity shows off several other features that repeat throughout the home, including a quartz countertop, rift oak side panel and high-gloss white acrylic Tip-On cabinetry — the smooth fronts don’t need exterior hardware since they open at the touch of a hand.

Head back out to the great room and kitchen and there’s more oak framing the wall TV set in the entertainment unit and the high-gloss kitchen cabinetry. Substantial open oak shelves wrap around one end of the kitchen island and make up part of the countertop, and the Tip-On cabinetry extends throughout the kitchen and into the cozy butler’s pantry, where it adorns an appliance garage and an abundance of extra cabinets.

If you enter the home through the double garage, you’ll pass a main-floor laundry and storage area on the way into the kitchen.

The entire space is light and bright, and the airiness is enhanced by an 11-foot tray ceiling in the dining area, large windows overlooking the man-made lake at the rear and the glass doorway to the covered deck, which is adorned with Dec-Tec glass infinity railings.

There’s a partially covered stone patio below, complete with a fire pit and greenspace for outdoor entertaining. Indoors, the walkout lower level has island seating at the wet bar, outfitted with that glossy cabinetry and decorative oak finishes. Along with a ribbon fireplace, entertainment unit and recreation space, there’s a glass-enclosed gym area.

Two large bedrooms, one with a walk-in closet, are tucked into a small hallway and separated by another full family bath, and there’s a second laundry room downstairs for added convenience.

With 1,881 square feet on the main level, and another 1,424 square feet on the lower level, there’s plenty of living space for family and friends.

Fully landscaped, with a stunning wood-and-stone exterior highlighted by a towering covered entrance, the Huntington home — like the other Parade of Homes show homes on the block — has a large driveway with a private access road adjacent to the main street.
